Who is this training for?
This training is designed for experienced HR and Payroll professionals and advisors who are already familiar with payroll processes and legislation.Entry level
Participants must have successfully completed the VPS training and obtained the VPS diploma (or equivalent qualification). This diploma is mandatory for participation.Level of training
This is a tailor-made training program adapted to the knowledge and experience level of the participants. All participants are required to hold a VPS diploma as prior education (or equivalent qualification).Purpose
The purpose of this training is to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of expatriate remuneration and other cross-border payroll situations.Participants will gain the expertise needed to confidently manage international payroll complexities.
Program
Day 1
– Determining country of residence and country of employment
– Tax liability in cross-border employment situations
– Mandatory insurance for cross-border work
– Deductibility of foreign social security contributions
– Tracking days worked per country (travel calendar)
– Interpreting tax advice
Day 2
– The 30% ruling
– Setting up a cross-border payroll
– Split contract versus salary split
– Shadow payroll versus split payroll
– Foreign authorities
– Different wage calculations for cross-border employmentDuration
